課程概述

This course is designed for students who are interested in data analysis and modeling in psychology. We will emphasize the basic concepts of probability and statistics. We will also introduce the concepts of modeling and demonstrate with some examples. Following each lecture there will be a session teaching students how to use the R software to help understand aforementioned concepts,. (See the course “Using R in data analysis in psychology”).

Course grades will be based on homework problems and in-class participation and discussion.

課程目標
Students will have the opportunity to apply some mathematical modeling approaches of cognitive processes to their own research.
課程要求
Students are expected to participate actively in classroom discussion, read the course material thoroughly and critically.
